Stubborn 3 year old daughter won't change into panties in morning, and generally says no to everything? My daughter is generally a very happy and very bright girl, but lately has become very stubborn and defiant. She is 3, and is potty trained. At night we put her in a pull-up to prevent leaks, but in the morning we put her in panties. Well, the problem is having HER do it for herself. I tell her to do it and she says no and would happily sit in them all morning if left to her own devices. Once all other tactics have worn themselves out--counting down, using a timer, holding out on breakfast--it takes me dragging her to the bathroom to do it. I know this is a power struggle thing, and it is upsetting because I try different tactics all of which don't work.
